PPAP utilizes 52cc twin cylinder gasoline powered industrial sized helicopters that are purpose-built for professional aerial photography and high definition video. The camera mount is gyro stablized with three axis control. These large helicopters are far more stable in windy conditions than smaller electric and "hobby" type models. The added size also increases visibility for a wider range of shooting possibilities. These powerful models can carry camera payloads of up to 15 pounds and can fly at high altitudes. Another advantage is the ability to remain airborne for up to 1 hour if required.

The Panasonic HVX200 movie camera's progressive scan HD format is perfect for crystal clear aerial video. This camera is well suited for shooting commercials, music videos and cinematography. The variable frame rate capability offers many different looks from the film like 24 frames to 60 frames for action scenes and sporting events. The camera operator has remote control of record on-off, irs, zoom and gyro stabilization rates.
